The Adaptive Sports Association helps to enrich and transform the lives of people with disabilities through sports. By working with students to overcome physical and cognitive challenges in a supportive environment, ASA helps students to give disability a possibility.

Winter Program
The Adaptive Sports Association's winter program has been providing snowsport instruction and equipment to people with disabilities for over 20 years. Lessons are typically one-on-one and are offered to people with every type of disability. State-of-the-art equipment and instruction, as well as a "family" atmosphere are hallmarks of ASA's winter program. Skiing, snowboarding and a variety of "sit-ski" options are available to get every individual enjoying the snow in the least restrictive manner possible. Summer Program
2007 marks the 10th anniversary of ASA's Summer Program! While our program may have changed a bit over the years, our original mission has remained the same. We strive to provide the outdoor recreational opportunities that Durango and the Rocky Mountains are known for to any individual with a disability and their families and friends! Volunteer for Adaptive Sports!
The success of our program is due to nearly 200 volunteers who generously contribute more than 15,000 hours each year. Volunteers range in age from 7 to 70 and include people of all walks of life. Lifelong friends, hugs, smiles and tears of joy are just some of the rewards that our family of volunteers receive. We provide all of the necessary training for our volunteers.
