October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Early detection is the best defense against breast and cervical cancer. The Women's Wellness Connection (formerly The Colorado Women's Cancer Control Initiative) is a program administered by the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment. It is part of the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program funded through the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. The goal of the program is to reduce breast and cervical cancer mortality through the promotion of compliance with routine screening guidelines, and timely, state-of-the-art diagnostic evaluation. 

Thanks to funding from the The Women's Wellness Connection we are able to offer free cancer screening for low-income women 40 and older. Screening includes a mammogram, a breast exam, a Pap test, and a pelvic exam. Call BJ at 259 3527 to find out if you qualify.
